Courage Wins Best Drama and Audience Choice Juried at the 2025 Sioux City International Film Festival

It’s always an honor just to be accepted into a film festival. The directors, programmers, and volunteers put in so much work reviewing and selecting each film, so to then win an award is beyond anything you expect.

At this year’s Sioux City International Film Festival, Courage was honored to receive Best Drama against an incredible lineup of films, and also take home Audience Choice Juried at the awards screening. To be recognized by both the jury and the audience means the world to us!

We’re so grateful for the opportunity to share this story and deeply humbled by the recognition. Our producer, Emmie Edmo, flew out for the event and shared how inspiring the entire festival was, from the kindness of the organizers and filmmakers to the powerful lineup of stories that filled the screens.

Winning these awards is a high honor we don’t take lightly. To be seen, heard, and celebrated among such talented filmmakers reminds us why we tell stories in the first place.
